Celebrities are not immune to offenses and there are several of them that have landed or currently in jail. There are so many cases of famous celebrities arrests for the past years. The year 2010 is the year that many famous stars were jailed as well as those who had to do community service and those who are merely requested to pay a fine.

Some of the celebrities who have been in jail include Wesley Snipes who has a 3-year sentence due to non-filing of tax returns. Former football star O.J. Simpson gets 33 years for kidnapping and armed robbery. Former president of Enron, Jeffrey Skilling got 24 years in prison for conspiracy   and fraud.

Phil Spector, a music producer received 19 years in prison for murdering an actress. Son of Michael Douglas, Cameron Douglas has 5 years for possession of drugs. Former NFL player for the New York Giants Plaxico Burress received 2 years imprisonment for gun charges. Rae Carruth, ex-NFL player was convicted of hiring someone kill his pregnant girlfriend and was sentenced to 18 years imprisonment.  It is sad to note that there are really successful and famous people who throw their lives away in just a blink of an eye and destroy others in the process.
